Willingness
βIf you can't you must and if you must you can.β -Tony Robins
I often recite this quote when digging deep, mustering up courage and whatever else I need to do something uncomfortable.
And as I consider todays word; πππππππππππ, the question isn't can you? The question is: are you willing?
Think about the moments in your life when everything shifted. I would guess that before the shift, before the decision, before even the first step... there was a moment when you became willing. Willing to see something differently. Willing to let go of the version of the story you had been telling yourself. Willing to not know exactly how it would end.
That willingness was the turning point.
I woke up to the sound of a gentle rain dripping and dropping in our neighbors pool, so subtle it could have easily been missed.
The sky is overcast, creating a layer of cloud, veiling the greater sky and everything above.
There is something about a Sunday morning when the light is muted that invites you to slow down before the week expects all the things of you.
This is the perfect weather for willingness. The willingness of ease. Of creating coherence and cultivating calm. From there we have so much more access to energy, intuition and vast internal resources.
Everything else β the courage, the action, the transformation β follows β asking us to come home to what we feel, what we know in the body, what the heart already understands.
Life has been asking this of us all in one way or another β to step before the whole path is clear. To trust ourselves in motion, one step at a time. To let the journey itself be the answer, rather than waiting until we have all the answers before we journey β honestly, are we ever really ready?
And here is the thing about willingness β it doesn't require certainty or or even the belief that it will work. It doesn't require confidence, or a clear plan, it just requires a openingβ¦.
